One of the things entrepreneurs find in today’s culture is we all want the answer to our questions NOW?
Entrepreneurs want immediate gratification.
Tell me what I can do NOW to get my business to six figures? Get my business on-line? Get more leads?
What about manifesting?
What do I need to know today, so I can attract more into my life? More money, more business or the right relationships?
I get it, I really do.
Entrepreneurs want what we when we want it.
Right?
Me, too! I certainly get caught up in that vicious cycle at times!
Even this past week….. I “pulled” my back out.
(Ugh!)
I quickly found myself forced to be in the present moment and slowing down at the same time I was thinking, “When can I get back (pun) to my regular routine?”
I had a LONG list of things on my schedule that I had “intended” to tackle, but just that moment in time, when I reached down to pick something up (the wrong way) everything changed.
So…slow down, I did!
And then today, in my morning meditation I find this…
Rainer Maria Rilke, wrote to a young friend, begging him to “Have patience with everything that remains unsolved in your heart. Try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books in a foreign language. Do not now look for the answers. They cannot now be given to you because you could not live them. It is a question of experiencing everything. And you need to live the question. Perhaps you will gradually, without even noticing it, find yourself experiencing the answer, some distant day.”
Sometimes when entrepreneurs want something to change, particularly circumstances, THE ANSWER to what we really need may be to sit with the question.
Brilliant!
I believe that each of us has a deep knowing within that KNOWS.
However, we have a hard time just “Being”.
We believe we are so much better at “DOING” and then we get caught up in the doing we lose who we really are.
As an alternative, perhaps we just need someone to sit with us or listen to us or help us to wait until the answer appears.
This is exactly what a Coach or Mentor provides.
Of course, I like the coach idea, since I am a coach ( I Coach Coaches) AND I have watched this incredible alchemy and transformation process happen over and over and over again.
Miraculous.
The interesting thing is that the answer will come! And when it comes. A life is changed.
A new direction reveals itself.
A door is open.
A new energy emerges and true transformation takes place!
Sometimes it just takes some strategies and systems to get entrepreneurs on the right track.
Other times just talking about ideas and dreams can turn into a new business adventure and you are on your way to a LIFE long dreamed about and a path to a new reality is blazed.
Or you just connect with someone that has been where you have been that can share some insight with you. (This is HUGE!)
I have recently been part of a group of Coaches, Mentors, Business Leaders and Entrepreneurs, all MOMS, that have worked from home or independently ( NO J.O.B.)
The “Summit”consisted of short video interviews with Moms at various levels in their businesses; juggling family, children, partners and the busy cycles of life that coincides with a passion for their work!
I really enjoyed listening to the interviews and came away thinking WOW…these women are really pushing thru barriers and making such wise decisions based on their own WHY’S and creating incredible businesses to truly serve others and to share their successes, failures, dreams, hopes, roller-coaster lives. The fact is, we have SO much more in common than we think in this crazy world of entrepreneurs!
Don’t you just love it.
Of course, Moms are always a great source of information and wisdom!
I am the MOM that should have the most wisdom, because I was probably the oldest in the group. (Not probably.)
